Ministry Services
Ministry is an act of service to the art of honor and witness. With an infinite amount of challenges, grievances, transitions and joys to life, I’m curious as to how I can be of service to you and the world around us.
“To be a minister is to be a witness. It’s a practice in what it means to be decent at being human.”
-Rev Diane Berke, Founder of One Spirit
Licensed as a registered officiant by the state of New York and open to travel. The ceremony I design for you and your partner is meaningful and uniquely yours. I will draw inspiration from your story, heritage, faith, style, and individual conversations that allow me to gain a better understanding of your feelings towards each other.
Officiant
“Alison took the time to talk extensively to the groom and bride, which gave her the material she needed to deliver a Service that was simply beautiful. Her words were very thoughtful and brought tears to the eyes of the bride and the audience. But she still managed to crack a few very good jokes, which made my daughter and the groom laugh and relax while the audience dried their tears.
Alison also had excellent suggestions for the ceremony as for example the blessing of the rings with the hands of bride and groom intertwined, which was a very special moment.
I was thrilled with Alison’s job as the officiant of my daughter’s wedding and I highly recommend her to any bride and groom who want an amazing officiant for their wedding.”
-Solange Nelson, Mother of Bride
Rituals embody a transformation.
“I worked with Rev Alison in spiritual, creative and psychosomatic capacities. She acted as a guide and a mirror for me to acknowledge and understand my own power. She took photos of me which helped me see myself in different ways. Body work from her helped me find avenues to release old traumas. Speaking with her helped name things I had tried to deny. Dancing with her helped me synch my body and mind to experience and express joy. She held space for me. She witnessed me. She was a voice I needed to gain permission to accept myself for all I am.”
